Pacific Bay "Pac Bay" Threads. Nylon and Stay True (No CP needed) *clearance*
Nylon Threads require Color Preserver to retain their vivid color prior to finish application. Nylon threads are typically brighter, with a deeper luster than their NCP counterparts.
NCP & Color Preserver Myth Exposed!
We have customers frequently tell us "My friend told me that I need NCP or Color Preserver so my thread won't fade in the Sun..." FALSE! The UV protection in todays modern two part finishes is what keeps colors vibrant with exposure to the sun. Nylon threads (especially lighter colors) are semi transparent and will take on the background (rod blank) color when they are wet, like when you apply finish. Color preserver simply forms a barrier to make the thread "opaque" preventing color bleed through during finish application and has nothing to do with UV protection.
